Getting in Touch
If you email me or use my contact form, I store the information you voluntarily provide so I can handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR, as I have a legitimate interest in processing customer inquiries. I do not share this data without your explicit consent.
Personal data arising in connection with contracts with customers/consumers (e.g., master and contact data, order/contract data, payment and billing data, and contract-related communication) is processed for contract initiation and performance under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where this data appears in accounting records (in particular invoices, booking receipts, and related documentation), I must retain it in Austria for seven years as required by law—especially under § 212 UGB and § 132 BAO (and longer if official/judicial proceedings are ongoing). To this extent, storage is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation). After the relevant periods expire, the documents are deleted or destroyed in a privacy-compliant manner unless other retention obligations apply.
Server Log Files
My hosting provider stores the following data that your browser transmits in server log files:
- Browser type and version
- User’s operating system
- User’s internet service provider
- User’s IP address
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which the user arrives on my site
- Websites the user accesses via my site
These data are deleted after seven days and are not merged with other data sources. In the event of a technical error or a hacker attack, these logs help analyze the incident. Improving and securing my website and protecting its users constitute a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies

Your Rights to Access, Erasure, and Restriction
You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to rectification, restriction, or deletion of this data. You can contact me at any time with these concerns or any further questions.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe I have violated applicable data protection law when processing your personal data, you can lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority at any time. Which authority is responsible depends, among other things, on the location of the alleged violation. In my case, it would be the Austrian Data Protection Authority (https://dsb.gv.at/ueber-die-datenschutzbehoerde/kontakt). Regardless of this, you may pursue other legal remedies. Filing a complaint does not limit your other legal options.
