I discovered the beauty of working with acids after a short workshop organized at kunst.wirt.schaft, the studio where I work. We carried out several tests on small copper plates, observing how ferric acid reacts when simple decorative elements are drawn on the surface using markers, wax, or lacquer.
The plates are immersed in the acid and then left to time, allowing the acid to take effect. This process fascinates me and represents one of my favorite starting points for research and experimentation. The “Scatoline” series and the series of brooches “Europa Scocciata” are examples of this.
